API 5L X42 pipe is an ultra-low or low carbon steel micro alloy pipe. Common alloyants used in the API 5L X42 dsaw pipes are manganese, phosphorus and sulphur. Addition of these alloying elements enhances the pipes mechanical properties. The API 5L X42 Erw are high pressure gas pipelines. These pipes have high resistance to cold, acid and industrial waste, like hydrogen sulphide and other highly corrosive environments.
